Sitting down and planning out what to make each meal for an entire week does take some time, but it ends up saving you more time in the long run. I never follow my meal plan exactly each week. If I have a busy day or am tired I look at my meal plan and pick one of the quick, easy meals to make for dinner that night. Making a meal plan just ensures me that I only have to make one trip to the grocery store and reminds me during the week of what meals I can make with what I already have.
