New Home: Framing Almost Complete!

I had a meeting with the builder this morning to go over a couple details so I was able to take some more pics. I love our builder and am definitely writing a great blog post at the end of this about how awesome he was to work with throughout the process, and more about the whole process in general. It's getting so exciting to go out there and walk around the house as they finish more and more!

The guys were working away this morning finishing the framing of the roof

Left Side of the House: Our master bathroom window on 2nd floor and my cute little pantry window on the first floor

Upstairs Kids/Guest Bathroom: It's huge...bigger than our master bath, but there was extra room and Isabelle's bedroom was already big enough so...

They will be shingling the roof and running plumbing and electrical next week, and should be grading the driveway/front lawn so it's not so steep in about 2 weeks. In another 3-4 weeks we will be able to go in and start laying tile (we are doing that ourselves in the bathrooms to save money) I can't wait til the sheetrock is up! That is going to really make it seem more "finished"!

  1. The absolute most stressful time in a marriage is building a house. We've done it twice and been married 26 years. So it is possible. Good luck.

    1. Thanks! So far it hasn't really been stressful at all. Luckily my husband and I both have a lot of the same taste so that really seems to help. We are having the time of our life, and I would love to be able to do this again one day when we want to retire and downsize. =)
